NYC Here we Come!

We finally made it in to the city for a "mini" vacation. I call it vacation because although it is only an hour from our house to go and do all we wanted, meant the price tag of a longer vacation. It was so worth it and Mauree loved every minute of it, and of course so did we. We stayed on the 34th floor, with a view of the empire state building. It was especially fun to see at night when it would light up in different colors. Mauree LOVED looking out the window every chance she got. It amazed her how small the cars and the people were and how many buildings there were. She loved walking through Times Square, she thrived on the energy there I guess. Toys 'R' Us was a huge hit with the Farris wheel ride, she had never seen so many toys before, and yes she thought she "needed" everything! The highlight was going to Mary Poppins. She loves the movie and despite it being her nap time, loved it. Her favorite thing to sing now is "SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPYALIDOCIOUS"...except her version is so much cuter. It is the most adorable thing to hear her say. Everything about the trip went perfectly, I guess as it should if Mary Poppins has anything to do with it! It makes me smile knowing we will always have such a happy memory and that Mauree is old enough to remember the experience.
